The OHSU Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow Class of 2020
Comments from Craigan Usher, MD- OHSU CAP Training Director
Hadi Farah is a graduate of the University of Damascus and currently a resident at Wayne State University in Detroit. Impressing us with his calm demeanor and rich reflections on practice, Dr. Farah listed as his hobbies chess, graphic design, drawing, wood burning drawing, and biking. He might be able to do a couple of those things in Portland. He speaks English, Arabic, and French.
Emily DeMarco has a Portland Tram heart...she left Grant HS to attend Carleton College in Minnesota and, upon her return from the Midwest has been impressing for years as a medical student and resident. She matches an enthusiasm for depth and exploration, with a diligence for evidence-based diagnosis and treatment. Delightful. She speaks English and basic German.
Hailing from the Lone Star state, Orlando Ortiz studied medicine at Baylor College of Medicine before residency training at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Ortiz has been actively engaged in tackling the healthcare disparities and during residency participated in a project to screen and support early intervention for youth with a risk for psychosis. He brings warmth and enthusiasm to his work and speaks English and Spanish.
